VIDEO: Merchandise - "Enemy"

VIDEO: Merchandise – “Enemy”

I’ve somehow avoided writing about Merchandise in the few weeks since launching Static + Distance. It’s odd because 2012′s Children of Desire and 2013′s Totale Night were albums that I couldn’t get enough of and “Little Killer,” the other single released from the forthcoming After The End has been in my regular rotation. Today, the band released a new song from the album, “Enemy,” complete with a terrifyingly bizarre video. The music video was directed by Tim Saccenti (who previously directed videos for Run The Jewels, Washed Out and Battles among others) and alternates between the band playing in various, dimly lit locales and lead singer/guitarist Carson Cox being kidnapped and murdered (I think the giant eyeball is in on it?). It’s a pretty great video for a phenomenal song. The band also announced a US/Canadian tour. You can check out the dates for that after the video. After The End is out 8/25 via 4AD.
