Static Synopsis: 5/8/2015 – 5/14/2015
This week has been keeping me busy between working on a history podcast and figuring out how to bring the KPSU show to a wider audience, but I cobbled together a handful of new tracks I found throughout the week. Speaking of new music and cobbling mixes together, I recently started using minilogs, which is essentially how I keep track of all the stuff I’ll “listen to one day.” It’s kind of handy in that I’m able to Tame Impala seems set to put out one of the year’s best if “Eventually” (featured in the synopsis this week) and “Cause I’m A Man” (featured a few weeks back) are any indication. The J Dilla produced track from Slum Village is worth checking out too. Lastly, I wanted to again bring attention to the excellent new single from Vaya Futuro. It’s one of the best tracks I’ve heard all year.
